Arya Safavi is a London-based architect, designer and educator, and the founder of Arya Safavi Experience, an independent design and research practice established in 2024. His work moves between architecture, furniture and objects, exploring material agency, temporality, formal systems and the relationship between the body and space.

Arya received his AA Diploma with distinction from the Architectural Association in 2010, following a first-class honours degree in Architecture and Interiors from the University of Westminster in 2007. He joined Zaha Hadid Architects in 2014 and was appointed Associate Director in 2024, contributing to projects across Asia, Australia, South America and the Middle East.

Since 2020, he has co-led Intermediate Unit 18 at the Architectural Association. His teaching and research focus on systematic design methodologies, hybrid materiality, prototyping and adaptive architectural systems.
